Why is SIG SAUER taking this action?
SIG SAUER has determined that portions of Lot No. JDAR0815 of SIG SAUER 9MM, 115gr, Elite Ball, FMJ (SKU E9MMB1-50), may have powder charge variations that could result in a bullet remaining in the barrel (i.e., a bullet-in-bore obstruction). Firing a subsequent bullet into a bore obstruction could cause firearm damage, rendering the firearm inoperable and subjecting the shooter and bystanders to a risk of serious personal injury.
Can I continue using the ammo if it is from the recalled Lot No.?
No. Discontinue use of this ammunition immediately and return the ammo to Sig Sauer for replacement ammunition.
Does this affect the entire SKU / Product Line?
No. This safety notice and recall ONLY applies to Lot No: JDAR0815. Additional lots of this ammunition are not affected.
Is there a date range that this ammunition recall applies to?
The lot number affected by the recall was manufactured from April 8, 2022 through April 18, 2022. To determine ammunition subject to this recall, examine any Sig Sauer 9mm ball ammunition obtained after April 8, 2022, for lot number (JDAR0815).

If you possess ammunition from this lot number or have questions concerning this warning, call SIG SAUER Customer Service at 603-610-3000 (Option 1) and instructions for returning your product will be provided.
How long will it take to receive the replacement ammo?
Once your ammo is received, SIG will ship your replacement ammo within 15 business days.
